Although we have a work in progress model of Marian up and running in the game already, we’ve decided to pursue refining her design early on.
Adam is adapting the model originally created by our animator Liem based on feedback from our concept artists Ashley and Katie. To help convey ideas quickly, Katie and Ashley often paint rough concepts overtop of the character model:

To keep things simple at this phase we’re ignoring Marian’s hair for now, hence her unintended tribute to Patrick Stewart.
What will the new model look like when she’s done? I’m excited to get there.

IA’s Unity Tutorial Series continues with a game called “Schpooter!” This is a simple side-scrolling space shooter example, but it has been built to demonstrate a few different ways of using Unity.
