And here I thought hand-drawn animation was dead, but here you are doing it (and in Photoshop, no less). Cool!
BTW, I recognize the first track, but where’s the rest of the music from?

My favorite song by Alec has been main4b from, Everyone Loves Active 2, for a long time. So good. It’s cool to see into the drawing process, I always figured most people don’t use skeletons at frst and just draw it all at once. Seems I was quite wrong. BG looks good too, never seen such beautiful grey buildings!

Bah! Shoulda shown us the final animation running at a normal speed.
Great work though. But I hate you because you are better than me. :O

You might want to deinterlace your video before uploading to Vimeo, whatever their compression system is it really doesn’t like interlaced frames. They’ve made some of my videos look pretty horrible before I caught on. It’d make the walk cycle a bit easier to read. Regardless, those are sweet sweet skills.

Hah, thanks for the upload, Alec!
Yes, it’s actually one of the fewer characters that I’ve used a skeleton to start out with. The main reason was that I didn’t really have any idea what the character should look like, besides that it should be a woman between 20 and 30 that’s somehow distracted… by something.
My approaches are different depending on the specifications and the ideas I have at the beginning. I also not always use this kind of erasing technique, where the features are erased from blob of black lines.
And yeah, Photoshop is not the best animation programm and has quite some flaws in handling and memory management, but once you get the hang of all the little quirks and nuisances it works ok.
For everyone who’s interested, here’s the actual walkcycle: http://www.cscott.at/civillian_large.gif

Nice. I like the walk animation and the futuristic city backdrop.
On another note, for some reason I can’t view one of the images from Chrome; it says that IA.ca is asking me for a username and password in order to view the image, and when I try to view the image by itself it gives me an authorization required error.

I’m always amazed to see the process of art. It’s an eye opener and should make anyone appreciate the end result so much more. Infinite Ammo, you are a neat group.
