Update: I’m going to be moving the date of the jam – so it won’t be a birthday jam any more! But it’ll still be awesome, so don’t worry.
What is this?
I play piano in my pyjamas on live webcam – music from my games, from other games, stuff I make up on the spot, random requests – continuously for a few hours. I’ve done it only once before, but this time is going to be even more special.
Why is it special?
Well… there may actually be something else to celebrate on that date – but we’ll have to wait and see if it comes together on time. So if you want some entertainment while you work, and/or you’d like an excuse to chat with a bunch of other creative and strange people from around the world – mark that date and show up chez moi for tasty jam.
In the meantime if you have any requests, let me know in the comments!

BTW I’ll probably do the jam in the afternoon, that way I can have a dinner/party thing in the evening. That’s afternoon CST.

Requests, eh? I wouldn’t mind hearing some more along the lines of ‘Life and Death’ from Verge. Hauntingly beautiful piece. On an unrelated note, the WordPress log in system here is telling me my user name doesn’t exist, and that it isn’t accepting new registrations at this time.

^ Moved the site to a new host, and that part isn’t back up fully yet. (hopefully I’ll be able to restore it)

Would be cool if you worked the Gymnopedies (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBiPQKK1upk) into the jam in some way. Only reasonable request I can think of!

Play some of our Indie favorites – you know, like Cave Story, Aquaria, Eternal Daughter, Bonesaw (WINKWINK) – and then I also want a healthy serving of straight improv. (:

Nothing says birthday bash like a medley of memorable midis! Super Mario Land’s Birabuto (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FW4OV2HRmMs) followed by Tetris Song B (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juGFu09__WE) would surely sound fantastic on a piano.
But really, anything you play would probably sound great. Perhaps a sneak peak into the soundtrack for the forthcoming Marian?

I have two request, Play any song from Donkey Kong Country 2. (It has great music if you’ve never listened to it)
Request number two, and this one is more important! Please put the whole recording up for download after.

Hmm yeah I can second the Still alive thing (meaning the song from Mirror’s edge, not portal; quite different lol).

Wha? There’s a “Still Alive” from Mirror’s Edge? D:

I’m quite familiar with Meatloaf’s “Alive”. (which includes the lyric “I’m still alive / must be a miracle”)
Maybe I’ll do that…

Please record it! I’ll be in Switzerland on a business trip on the 14th. 7 hour difference from central time. So it will be the middle of the night over there.
I just finished listening to your first ever pajama jam. (I burnt it to a CD and listen to it the car.) Love it!
