New Website

Chris has just finished his redesign of our website. You’re looking at it right now! :)

The site now contains much more functionality and it’ll be a lot more pleasant for us to make updates as well. We have Vimeo, Flickr and Twitter all nicely integrated into the right side bar. If you poke around the site you’ll notice all sorts of cool touches that Chris has integrated, like the pop-up screenshots, logins, custom-coded plugins – but most of all you’ll notice the style. This is a slick site!

The site also has some new content – for example, check out the Games page for a teaser description of Heroes and Villains. If you look around, you might find more new stuff…

Let us know what you think of the new site! Chris busted his balls chrunch-timing it the last few days, and I’m sure he’d love to hear your feedback. (you can see a small piece of his epic journey here) We’ve been manually porting over old posts and comments from our last site, but not everything is back up yet. If you notice anything out of place, please tell us about it.

Also note that you can choose to register an account to post comments with now. When we launch our forums, this account can also be used to post on them. So why not go for it now? (it means you can set up a sweet avatar for the comments too)

Enjoy, and let’s all give Chris a big pat on the back!

UPDATE: User avatar uploads now work! So go to it! Bam!

Paper Moon Demo's Done!

Howdy, Alec here. We managed to finish our demo of Paper Moon for the Gamma3D submission deadline, and we ended up with a pretty awesome result. :) We’ll find out if we’re selected for the event on November 1st.

Check out this scene with your own pair of 3D glasses!

The day after the demo was done, it was featured at an event promoting Winnipeg game development to rural Manitoba high school kids. Check out this video by New Media Manitoba’s Kevin Hnatiuk: (featuring the music of local band Paper Moon!)

It was a really cool experience crunching on the game with the Infinite Ammo team. I don’t think I’ve worked with a more talented, funny and classy group of people before!

We also had help from the multi-talented Adam Saltsman, who created a lot of the environment art by drawing it on paper, cutting it out and scanning it in.
