One of my dreams came true today: landing an interview on CBC Radio.

CBC = Canadian Broadcasting Corporation – similar to NPR in the states. I grew up listening to CBC Radio Winnipeg, both for news and local information but also for the funky radio plays they’d run on Sunday nights.
To me the CBC is a big part of Canada’s cultural identity, and since we have very little of that, it’s also really important. It was a really cool to have the opportunity to be a small part of it and see what goes on behind the “magic”.

‘Cause radio really does seem kind of magical to me… Voices transmitted through air right to your ears – originating in a tiny room, yet crossing vast distances. Epic stuff.
You can listen to the interview here: (big thanks to Kert for recording it!)

Also: a big thank you to Jamie and Lisanne for hooking me up.
Now to work on my next dream: getting on radio again somehow.

Some interesting thoughts from yours truly in a second interview by Phil Cameron. (he seems to have a knack for getting me to talk about deep concepts)

I did an interview with Phill Cameron of “The Reticule”.

Its kind of funny, when you’re in something like making indie games long enough you start to get used to doing interviews. They become an interesting way to examine yourself and what you’re doing. I think with this one, I might finally be on to something – figuring out the kind of games that I’m really interested in making.
…well it meant something to me anyways.

Bytejacker, an internet-based video game show, recently covered TIGSource’s latest competition. This competition was all about creating retro “knock-off” versions of existing games, which ended up including Shadow of the Colossus, Team Fortress 2, Fallout, Haze, Aquaria and more! The video does a great job of highlighting some of the coolest games in the competition, so check it out:
In other news, I did a little interview for my buddy Ivan’s new blog: Play-Make.
