Who is Infinite Ammo?

This piece was put together by an exceptionally talented duo – James Swirsky and Lisanne Pajot of Blink Works media. It premiered last night with a party at IMAX as part of a showcase of Winnipeg-based New Media companies.

James and Lisanne did a really great job with these. Not only did they manage to make the pieces entertaining and truthful, they also made a strong case for Winnipeg as a great place to live. (no small task)

There was a lot of excitement and laughter at the party afterwards, and a good feeling of solidarity. I hope the Winnipeg New Media scene manages to stay this creative, close-knit and free-spirited for many years to come. :)

Holy crap that was an extremely well produced video. Not to mention inspiring. Keep fighting the good fight for Indie developers everywhere, especially in Canada.

That was fantastic. Some extremely high production value, especially at the beginning with all the games, etc. I’m smiling now — well done!

Simply amazing video! I really like the drive for recognizing media producers in your province. Wish we had something like that in Alberta. All trades and medicine over here.

@Kyuur: I wish there was something like this in Alberta as well, but wishing won’t make it happen. There’s certainly a lot of talent around though, no one’s just bothered to organize anything to tie it all together. If enough people make it out to the Calgary Global Game Jam, maybe something will come out of that; you can always hope, I guess.

Wow, what a neat video. This isn’t just a nice feature about the sort of mind behind videogame development, but also the sort of mind behind art in general. It’s always worthwhile for people to see the humanity of those in the creative field, as some still get the impression that being creative is “easy,” and they refer to talent almost like it’s some sort of magic, sprouted from thin air. When they see a dedicated, hard working, sharp-minded person like yourself instead of a magician or a stoned out bum, it turns their world upside down.

    So cool!

Ha ha, wow, they made winnipeg look so clean and managed to get some shots of downtown without any bums.

Anyways good job man, nice to see some really cool and creative games come out of this place, I didn’t even realize that the maker of Aquaria lived here.

Keep up the good work, everyone loves it.
